One of the England's folk-rock originals, John Tams was a key member of Ashley Hutching's most successful version of The Albion Band and founder of The Home Service. His first solo album "Unity" (TOP #508) was rapturously received, winning Best Album & Best Original Song in the 2000 BBC Folk Awards. "The Reckoning" is a superb collection of new songs and traditional numbers, including breathtaking versions of "A Sailor's Life" and "I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow". The outstanding musical backings include contributions from his old Albion & Home Service colleague Graeme Taylor on guitar and Barry Coope of Coope, Boyes & Simpson on vocals, keyboards and percussion.
