Although Hank Snow made his reputation as one of country music’s greatest singer/songwriters, it shouldn’t be forgotten that he was also a very handy guitar player. Never in quite the same league as say Chet Atkins and Merle Travis, and never forsaking his acoustic guitar for electric, Hank wielded a mean guitar pick. This collection couples 12 instrumental recordings which exclusively or prominently showcase the Snow guitar with 14 vocal tracks which feature significant Snow guitar breaks. Also heard on some tracks is the master, Chet Atkins, with whom Snow later recorded instrumental albums. Sleeve notes by Paul Pelletier. (Previously deleted: 2/1/05. Original release date: 1/24/03)
