No, they're not a big-hair heavy metal band from the 1980s. Thor's Hammer were the pride of Keflavik, Iceland, and the group remains close to the heart of the Icelandic people even today. They were the first Icelandic group to cut a record & the first to seriously attempt to break out of the tiny local market, many years before Bjork & her Sugarcubes did the same. They formed in 1963 & played an indigenous, idiosyncratic & extremely punky/fuzzy guitar garage rock slant on beat music. Here is their entire output from 1965-67.
