Vocalist Bob Stewart is one of Bing Crosby's musical offspring, and he sings in the style of Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Herb Jeffries & Dick Haymes. He's a classic saloon singer with a marvelous sense of phrasing and a "fin de siecle" worldliness comparable to Sinatra in his prime. Here, he presents 17 standards by Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim & others, backed by the Hollywood Sound Stage Orchestra. On a few tracks, he's joined by Ray Cohen, and one track with the Tedd Firth Trio.
