Blues Plus is a U.K.-based blues guitar trio featuring Ian Wroe, Adrian Ingram and Chris Smith. The group was formed in 1995 when guitarist Ian Wroe tracked down the elusive U.K. blues legend Rod Marshall, who has contributed immensely to the proliferation of jazz and blues in the U.K. Rounding out the trio is Adrian Ingram (in the 1960s played with bands such as Hannibal and Bakerloo) and Chris Smith, who helped start a band called Smile in 1969 with then-unknown Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. Chris left the group, Freddie Mercury joined, and the now legendary rock squad Queen was born.
