Chet Baker was the face of 1950s West Coast jazz. His sublime trumpet-playing combined with film-star good looks made him a star. His recordings for Pacific Jazz were the very apex of his career, and often considered the finest of these were the sessions that produced "Chet Baker & Crew". Six years later Pacific sold this set of out-takes to Modern. Featuring saxophonist Phil Urso and pianist Bobby Timmons, these are every bit as good as the originally released versions. This updated 2013 version has been remastered from source tapes, has fresh sleeve notes and is packaged in a digipack with new artwork. Tracks are the same but in a different running order.
