(2 albums on one CD) These albums are the remainder of the releases that Otis put through the Kent label in the late '60s, and both feature Shuggie Otis' blistering guitar. "Cold Shot" is the epitome of funky blues, recorded on the back of the "Country Girl" chart hit (the song has recently been championed by DJ David Holmes). "Snatch and the Poontangs" is Otis' recorded realisation of the black street rhyme games called "the dozens". These are often to be considered the roots of rap, and are often (certainly on this record) filthy. Contains 2 never before released tracks and a 2 page spread of Johnny Otis' Robert Crumb-inspired artwork.
