A former student of John Williams, Anthea Gifford is recognized as one of England's outstanding guitarists, performing prolifically for BBC Radio 3, both as a chamber musician and soloist. She presents a 70 minute recital of music ranging from the seventeenth century to the twentieth century performed in 1990 in the beautiful acoustics of Coughton Court. Features compositions by Bach, Buxtehude, Sor, Michael Berkeley, Gordon Crosse, Tarrega, Joaquin Malats and others.
