This highly regarded band was the acceptable face of '60s revivalism in the '80s. A four piece with a love for '60s soul and pop, they were Charlatans' bass player Martin Blunt's first band. These are the complete Countdown recordings, which have never been released before on CD. Original copies of their "Rhythm and Soul" LP now sell for big bucks and all the their singles are difficult to track down. In-depth sleeve notes include an interview with Martin Blunt about his time with "Makin' Time," written by Rhythm! fan club president Chris Hunt at Mojo. The package is stuffed full of memorabilia and rare photos.
