With the breakup of the final “Return to Forever,” Chick Corea began a long period of freelancing, resulting in some unlikely collaborations. For much of this concert performance recorded in Cannes, France in the late ‘70s, the pianist teams up with veteran vibraphonist Lionel Hampton for some swinging music.
