Scott Gibson grew up in Austin, Texas and began his musical career at the age of 17 as a bass player, cutting his teeth playing local clubs. Working his way through the ranks playing in numerous bands around town, he eventually came to play with great Texas songwriters such as James McMurtry. He then played bass in four major record label bands and in several bands signed to indie labels. "Make Ready" is Scott's debut album, and it combines elements of Americana: country, folk, bluegrass, roots-rock and old-time country gospel. It features top Austin musicians Chris Gage (Jimmie Dale Gilmore, The Flatlanders, Roy Clark), Robbie Gjersoe (Flatlanders, Hal Ketchum), Rafael Gayol (Flatlanders, Kelly Willis) and Mac McNabb (Soul Hat, Michael Fracasso).
