Aramis Galindo and his thirteen piece orchestra present not just any old Cuban Son. This music is modern, smooth and elegant, with his view fixed on Cuba's musical history. On his debut, he presents mostly original songs recorded in Havanna, produced by Icelys Bauditz-Roche (head of Cuba Chevere). Galindo's own individual style can best be described as having its basis in Cuban Son, Rumba influences (the musical roots of his hometown Matanzas) and contemporary Timba. This is put together with his own special energy and power and his elegant vocal performance. With such energy and "candela" (fire), this CD will have you up and dancing in no time!
