Ace continues with an anthology of one of the most beloved artists, Jimmy "T-99" Nelson. A classic blues stylist in the vein of Joe Turner and Jimmy Witherspoon, Nelson's work provides definitive examples of Texas-influenced, cool and cultured West Coast blues. The song "T-99 Blues" (featured here) gave Nelson his nickname and is one of the most influential of all 1950s blues sides, and has been covered and copied innumerable times in the 50 years since Nelson cut the definitive version. These classic songs are now on CD for the first time. A few nice extras that have never been released anywhere in the world until now have also been added.
