One of Italy's finest jazz guitarists presents his debut album, joined by Alfredo Ferrario on clarinet, Aldo Zunino on double bass and Egidio Colombo on acoustic tenor guitar. World renowned jazz master Bucky Pizzarelli says of Roberto: "Roberto's talents as a fine guitarist cover many early styles of significant guitarists from the pre-World War 2 era, such as Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt and Eddie Lang." On this CD, Columbo covers other early guitar greats, including Al Casey, Freddie Green and Dick McDonough. The first track is Colombo's original composition "Fly, Charlie, Fly," which stands tall with Eddie Lang's "Rainbow Dreams," Dick McDonough's "The Ramble" and Eddie Lang's "Pickin' My Way."
