Here's the first-ever retrospective devoted to the Gosdin Brothers, (best known as the launchpad for future country superstar Vern Gosdin), one of the finest and unwittingly cutting edge acts of the late '60s Bakersfield country rock renaissance. 1968's "Sounds Of Goodbye" is regarded as one of the most satisfying blends of country, pop and folk-rock that the era produced. This 24 track CD contains the contents of the "Sounds Of Goodbye" album and its attendant non-LP Bakersfield Int'l sides, along with unreleased material and esoteric singles, including their legendary Edict 45. Produced by Chris Hillman in 1966, it features accompaniment from Hillman, Michael Clarke and Clarence White.
