Before Brenda Lee took over as the Queen Of Nashville Pop, Sue Thompson forged an estimable run of Billboard and Cashbox chart hits, mostly penned by Music City songwriting legends John D Loudermilk and/or husband and wife team Felice and Boudleaux Bryant. All are featured in this 26 track collection, along with the best of her album cuts and later 45s - several of which are now highly prized by collectors of girl group recordings. Although not as big in the U.K. (where all of her hits were covered by local singer Carol Deene) as she was in the U.S. and Europe, Suzie is well remembered for her big pirate radio hit "Paper Tiger."
