(6-CD box set with hardcover book) Floyd Tillman's music embraced western swing, honky tonk and jazz, and several of his songs became pop classics. This starts with his debut recordings as a guitarist and occasional singer for the Blue Ridge Playboys in 1936, and includes all the recordings from his five year stint with Decca (1939-44) and nine classic years with Columbia (1946-55). It also includes a handful of small label sides from 1955-57, his RCA Victor LP from 1958, two sessions in 1960/61 and his 1962 Cimarron songs plus his 1981 Gilleys LP including duets with Ernest Tubb, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Gilley. Features Moon Mullican, Bob Dunn, Johnny Gimble, Herbie Remington, and Ted Daffan.
