(2-CD set) Here are the late great Los Angeles R&B vocalist's RCA complete recordings -- it includes two full albums and nearly a dozen non-album As and Bs. Jesse Belvin was signed by RCA in 1958, and was just building a solid career there when the Grim Reaper stepped in and took over his contract. As can be deduced from the track listings, the material on the CD is very standards-oriented (as were Sam Cooke's early RCA albums) and aimed at a young adult market rather than the Boyz From The Hood who bought "Beware," "Dream Girl," and "Girl In My Dreams." Features some of the best West Coast jazz musicians of the era (Art Pepper, Russ Freeman, Marty Paich, Red Callender and others).
