Based in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, the Global Village Orchestra has ten members representing eight different nationalities. Its music draws from Africa, The Middle East, Eastern Europe and Gypsy traditions as well as contemporary Eurojazz, producing a pulsating, rhythmic and compelling sound. Instrumentation ranges from Oud, flute, bass, sax, violin, drums, percussion and voice. This CD is being released in Europe by the Dutch label, LopLop, and in North America by Random Chance.
