(2-CD set) Dreadnaught is, by all accounts, almost completely insane, and so is its music. It's called progabilly, a genre-forging fusion of old school progressive rock and Americana with a dose of jazz and classical, and has been described as everything from "Zappa meets Yes at Willie Nelson's BBQ" (Soundcheck) to "King Crimson at a hoedown" (Spotlight). Since forming in the mid-'90s, the band has played over a thousand shows across dozens of states and countless seedy hotel rooms, abusing their poor van tour after ruthless tour, performing with artists as diverse as John Entwistle of the Who, the California Guitar Trio, Strangefolk, and many others.
