Two terrific New York black music labels revisited and rediscovered on this 26 track collection. Ace's original compilation of Old Town and Barry soul (KEN #111) has been unavailable for many years and the time is right for a fresh look at the label's Northern output. The new item's track listing has been completely revamped and now includes many cuts not on the original release, plus more recent discoveries like the Earls' 'Over Again,' Bobby Long's 'Gotta Have Love Too' and Beverly McKay's 'Say It With A Feeling.' Includes all-time Northern classics by Jesse Johnson, Lorraine and the Delights, the Sparkels, the Fiestas and Freddie Houston, which have not been on disc for a long time.
