We will be hiring Braithwaite & Katz Communications to run the publicity on this title. We will also be hiring a radio promoter to work college and Jazz Week stations. There will be a CD release concert at Dazzle Night Club in early February where all of the musicians on the recording will perform (including Curtis Fuller.
Keith Oxman’s 6th release for Capri is his best recording to date. He has taken great care in his arrangements to breathe life into little heard standards and his original compositions have the qualities to make them standards for tomorrow's musicians. The ensemble includes the legendary Curtis Fuller, the only trombonist to record with John Coltrane and the last living participant from the classic Blue Trane session. Keith is reunited with the incredible rhythm section from his previous recording, Brainstorm (CAP #74056): Chip Stephens on piano, Ken Walker on bass and Todd Reid on drums.
