To commemorate the success of the bio-pic "Walk The Line," Bear Family presents its own journey through the musical life of Johnny Cash. Like the movie, this story also begins in Folsom Prison. But unlike the movie, there is not a word of truth in Bear Family's story. Music historian Hank Davis has created a fictionalized Traveler, and told the imaginary story of his life based on 20 of Johnny’s best Sun recordings. With tongue firmly in cheek, this is a concept album that was never released during Johnny's lifetime, but would have been a worthy companion piece to his efforts like 'Ride This Train.' Contains 20 original Sun recordings, including an undubbed version of 'Guess Things Happen That Way.'
