Lynn Anderson was born on Sept. 26th, 1947 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, but she was raised in California. She is responsible for one of the best known country hits of all time, “Rose Garden.” It was written by Joe South, was #1 for 5 weeks on the country charts and peaked at #3 on the pop charts, and it charted in the top ten in most countries around the world. Lynn was named female vocalist of the year at the 1971 CMA Awards and also won a Grammy. The recordings on this collection were made in the early 1990s, and they show that her unique vocal powers remain undiminished.
