(2-CD Set) This collection begins and ends with some of B.B. King's most popular mid 50s recordings, by which time he had developed a mature template inevitably enhanced by his black, gold-plated, pearl inlaid Gibson 335 guitar always referred to as "Lucille". The opening track, Memphis Slim's "Every Day (I Have The Blues)" became almost his own anthem, but the earlier recordings from 1949 to 1951 from "Miss Martha King," "She's Dynamite" through to "Hard Working Woman" also reveal something clearly unique. CD2 starts with King's breakthrough 1952 hit "Three O'Clock Blues" and all the hits from this prolific period.
