(2-CD Set) Mother Earth's second album "The People Tree" was a masterful mix of soul, funk and rock. The original 1994 album was beautifully recorded in analogue and featured incredibly soulful vocals pitched somewhere between Curtis Mayfield and Stevie Winwood. Guest vocalists on the record include Paul Weller who also plays harmonica on the band's version of the Small Faces' Almost Grown. This remastered deluxe edition comes with an additional 13 tracks including singles, B-sides and two previously unreleased songs. The booklet comes with out-takes from Gered Mankowitz's sleeve session and interviews with Mother Earth lead singer (later Weller and Oasis guitarist) Matt Deighton among others.
