Ray Noble’s band was one of the most popular of the 1930s. He was popular on both sides of the Atlantic and American as well as UK audiences took him to their hearts. The selections on this album include his finest vocalist Al Bowlly who was to die prematurely during World War II. A great loss to the music world as many felt that Al could have become one of the major vocalists of the twentieth century; however the recordings he left behind are treasures in their own right and show all the promise of a major talent. For lovers of 1930s nostalgia or dance music this album will provide many hour of enjoyment.
