This is the original soundtrack for the classic 1972 film directed by spaghetti western king Sergio Corbucci (best known for his classic 1966 film "Django"). Athough the spaghetti western genre was invented by men like Corbucci and Sergio Leone, it was Morricone who gave the genre its distinctive flavor. Unlike many spaghetti westerns, this film was intended as a comedy, featuring two of Italy's most famous comic actors: Vittorio Gassman and Paolo Villaggio. The light-hearted subject matter gave Morricone the opportunity to explore less familiar terrain -- the result being a surprisingly experimental blend. Only 3 of the 17 tracks have ever been released!(Previously deleted:12/1/04. Original release date:5/27/03)
