(SACD-HYBRID) This is a tribute to Eugène Ysaÿe by internationally acclaimed violinist Sandrine Cantoreggi. Nowadays, his name is mainly linked to the six sonatas for violin he composed in 1924, in the winter of his life. Sandrine Cantoreggi is recognized as a soloist who performs with orchestras as well as recitals and in chamber music groups. Well known conductors and talented musicians have accompanied her in her musical universe which extends to all periods. This SACD contains 8 well known pieces of music written by Eugène Ysaÿe. Accompanied by Bruno Canino on piano this is a fitting tribute to the man who most now considered a living legend.
