In 1979, the backing vocals to Ian Dury's "Reasons to Be Cheerful (Part 3)" raised the musical question: "Why don't you get back into bed?" The eleven songs on Cold Drinks address this conundrum of living and man's responses to it, many of which seem to involve intoxication.
