Blues and bop are the key to guitarist Fred Woodard's playing and he is joined by bassist Herman Hampton and drummer Peter Barr on "1715". A Berklee School Of Music graduate in jazz composition and arranging, after Berklee Fred played with classic R&B artists such as Sam & Dave, William Bell, The Drifters and the Marveletts. Tracks include two of Fred's own compositions "Now", "Surfin' The Changes" and "1715, plus Grant Green's "Miss Ann's Tempo", Don Pullen's "In The Spirit" and Besame Mucho and "Stretching/Rebirth Of Slick".
