Reissue of the great 1982 debut album by the Florida power poppers, The Wind. This is two parts pop, one part soul and one hundred percent wimpy genius. There's no distortion to be found here! Vocally reminiscent of Jonathan Richman at times but not quite so out there, add on a layer of merseybeat-style backing vocals and you have this debut. It's one of the great undiscovered power pop records and probably one of the finest bands to ever come out of Florida.
