Boldly transforming from contemporary lyricism to post bop modernism, shifting harmonic flow, seamless moving colors, exhilarating rhythms, fiery syncopation's, displaying compelling chemistry in abundance. While the result of this debut album (recorded in one session), is definitely straight ahead and features some terrific hard swinging highlights, the music can be also elegantly lyrical in composition and jazz sensibility. This record is based loosely on Mendelssohn's seminal 'Songs Without Words', which came to Alon's mind, after playing continuously through those wonderful moody and bright solo pieces on the piano.
Members of the band have played with some of the most influential figures in jazz including Mike Stern, William Parker, Steve Lacy, Kenny Werner, Jeff Tain Watts, Paul Bley and many more.
