Ulf "M" Andersson belongs to a highly underrated category of artists in Scandinavian popular music. He started out as a drummer and vocalist in the sixties in the popular Swedish band the Gonks. In more recent times he's been fronting his band the Rock 'n' Roll Torpedoes that was founded in 1997 and has released four albums and played hundreds of shows. "It's About Time" is his first solo album. To help him out in the studio he has his "Wild Bunch" joining him. Olle Westerlund played pedal steel, Fredrik Savbrandt on drums, Jorgen Wernefeldt on bass and Tomas Pettersson on keyboards. Margareta Nilsson joined in for a duet (the lovely "With You"), and last but not least the brilliant Berno Paulsson who played guitar and engineered the album. If you're looking for any particular musical profile or style forget it. This is an album with a touch of country, but it also includes a bit of rock 'n' roll and even a little taste of blues. The songs are all personal favorites of Ulf "M" Andersson. Three of them borrowed from the mighty Delbert McClinton, two by Charlie Rich and three by Karen Staley, a reliable source of country hits. The wonderful "Circus Leaving Town", written by Phillip Claypool, was found on a Travis Tritt album. Each song has its own story, but the main reason to include each one of them on this album is that Ulf M Andersson just loves to sing them. Contains 12 songs.
