Jake Hertzog's third release takes the guitar in a new direction. Although Jake is an accomplished jazz musician, his love for the rock idiom dominates "Evolution". All but one track (Jake's version of Bruce Springsteen's "Streets Of Philadelphia") are originals, and his compositions create an almost entirely new musical language. Jake's sound is definitely modern and his mastery of the guitar unique, resulting in a visionary album that will be extremely well received by any listener starving for a new voice. The mixing and mastering of "Evolution" has given the album a great sound for any audio system, whether it be a computer, MP3 player or Hi-fi system. Anyone who buys this album will feel fortunate to be a part of this trailblazing adventure.
