Cut in Chicago late in 1966 with renowned Windy City soul producer-songwriter Monk Higgins at the helm, "Call My Name" was very much the precursor of 1968's Muscle Shoals-recorded "Tell Mama" long-player, yet it has never been released in the CD age. The "Call My Name" albums 12 original tracks are bolstered here with a generous 12 bonus titles recorded variously in Alabama, Memphis and Chicago between 1967 and 1969. This is the first time this record has been issued on CD.
