The latest edition of this popular series featuring The Benny Goodman Orchestra which documents the complete series of radio programs broadcast during the latter part of the 1940s. This CD volume ten features operatic mezzo soprano Rise Stevens. Stevens was a part of a number of Hollywood productions, her most memorable being in the Oscar winning film “Going My Way” alongside co-stars Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald. Returning from show eighteen is Basil Rathbone an extremely popular actor of the 1930/40 well known for his prolific film television and radio performances.
He is perhaps best known for his definitive performances as Sherlock Holmes and latterly his strtong aquiline features would lend themselves to more siniter roles and parts in the colorful horror flicks of the day. The whole package is held together by popular comedian Victor Borge.
