This collection focuses more on Lewis's popular sides, although there's a lot of soloing by the likes of Spanier and Goodman, and worthwhile contributions by Teagarden and Dorsey as well. The presence of the title track and "When My Baby Smiles at Me" will make this disc the obvious choice for anyone seeking a portrait of Lewis in music, although those interested in the jazzier side of his work will prefer The Jazz worthy Ted Lewis. The sound quality is high, and the notes are extremely thorough.
