"Road Block" by The Wheels is one of the all-time great (and expensive) freakbeat /garage 45s. The Wheels were contemporaries of Them’s lead singer Van Morrison who almost joined the band several times. Both the wilder demo version of ‘Bad Little Woman’ (the one the Shadows of Knight covered) and the UK version are also high up on the list of screaming 60s punk. These are the complete Wheels sessions – a lesson in British (and Irish) beat music of the time. The CD has a different cover shot - one not seen before - and a comprehensive sleeve note by Shindig’s Jon “Mojo” Mills based on interviews with Wheels lead singer Rod Demick.
