For many years a leading light and featured soloist on innumerable New Orleans R&B sessions - including just about every recording made by his long-term friend and employer Fats Domino - Herb Hardesty has long been admired by rock'n'roll and R&B enthusiasts the world over. Now, almost 55 years later, Ace proudly presents the 12 tracks from that unissued 1958 Mercury album, along with the only sides to have ever been issued commercially under Herb's name, all drawn from the King vaults. As well as Herb's tenor and trumpet virtuosity, "The Domino Effect" features pretty much the whole Fats Domino studio and road band (with the exception of Fats) in its prime.
