Ace makes a rare return to its rock'n'roll roots with 28 tracks culled from the cream of the 50s Louisiana labels. Compilation and sleeve note are by Ian Saddler, who has made several trips to the area to research this series. This CD is the first in the "Boppin' By The Bayou" series. It has been given added importance by the signing of a deal with the family of the late Jay D. Miller which means that Ace has been able to compile previously unreleased material and, with new technology, re-invigorate those tracks discovered by the sterling work of Bruce Bastin and Flyright some 35 years ago.
