The mighty Chess label of Chicago was home to some of the greatest female soul singers of the 1960s. Over the last few years we've released well-received compilations by Etta James, Sugar Pie DeSanto and Mitty Collier. Now it's the turn of Jackie Ross, who stormed the charts in 1964 with the unforgettable 'Selfish One'. Our 24-track collection comprises Jackie's entire Chess recordings, including her other hit singles 'I've Got The Skill' and 'Jerk And Twine', the complete "Full Bloom" album and three excellent 1965 titles that first surfaced in 1998 - all produced by the great Billy Davis. As a special treat for collectors, the set also features two very fine exclusives, 'Stick To One' and 'My Square', which were recorded during Jackie's Chess Records tenure and have remained unissued until now.
