Melodies and improvisations and interchanges lushly orchestrated in this new orchestral work of composer percussionist Andea Centazzo. His first jazz orchestral recording since the 1980s - Andrea Centazzo Mitteleuropa Orchestra. The Battle has been recorded in a 2 set concert at The Stone in NYC during the 15 day 35th Anniversary Ictus Nights music festival. The large ensemble features Dave Ballou, Guido Mazzon, Brian Groder on trumpets, Giancarlo Schiaffini on trombone, Carlo Actis Dato on baritone sax and bass clarinet, Achille Succi on clarinet, clarinet and alto sax, Roberto Ottaviano on soprano sax, Lisle Ellis on electric bass, Giorgio Vendola on double bass, Umberto Petrin on piano, Riccardo Massari on electronics and piano, Gino Robair on drums and electronics, percussionist Andrea Centazzo.
