"Spirits Known & Unknown" is a jazz vocal great. Leon Thomas' debut album includes some of his most popular numbers including 'The Creator Has A Master Plan', 'Song For My Father' and 'Malcolm's Gone'. Thomas is joined by a stellar cast of musicians including Pharoah Sanders, Lonnie Liston Smith, Roy Haynes and Cecil McBee. We have added three bonus tracks: the session out-take 'A Night In Tunisia', and two tracks from the rare album "SNCC's Rap", which mixed speeches by H Rap Brown with Leon Thomas cuts from a set at the Fillmore East.
