This CD concentrates on the ballad instrumentals in the Glenn Miller band’s library so the spotlight is on the full band, the sections and the soloists, as they interpret the imaginative scores written by Glenn and His talented arrangers, Bill Finegan, Jerry Gray and Chummy McGregor. As the music is on the sweet side, Glenn’s trademark, the clarinet laid saxophones will be heard on most of the twenty six tracks.
