After an extended break, Ace's King Acetates Series resumes this month with a second compilation by iconic rhythm & blues man Roy Brown. "Pay Day Jump" focuses predominantly on the sides that Roy cut for DeLuxe records after King Records founder and boss Syd Nathan bought the label in late 1949. Eight of the 24 selections are either completely unissued performances or previously unissued alternate takes, making this a must for even the most ardent Roy Brown collector.
