There's a timeless quality in the music of Swedish "By The Bluebird". It's neither nostalgic, nor anxiously contemporary. And it's not really obvious where to pin it down on a map. The music is made here and now with influences from English, American and Swedish tradition. Gustav Leeb-Lundberg, aka "By The Bluebird", has of course listened and learned from masters like Nick Drake, Simon & Garfunkel, Bright Eyes and Swedish troubadour Cornelis Vreeswijk. "By The Bluebird's" brand new album was recorded in Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY. The album was produced by Simone Felice, who also contributes electric guitar, drums, and backing vocals. James Felice, of the Felice Brothers, plays organ, piano and accordion. The sound man Chris Bittner also plays bass and trumpet.
"By The Bluebird" returned home from Woodstock with ten extraordinary tracks, finally ready to be released. Gustav Leeb-Lundberg is a force to be reckoned with, not only as a brilliant songwriter but also as guitarist and singer. "By The Bluebird" does not need the big gestures or capital letters to catch the attention. It's in the low key and understated you will find the beauty. What you read between the lines, what you hear between the notes that are played, are equally important. By The Bluebird prefers not to attack but to seduce the audience. Contains 10 haunting songs!
