"Death Time Love" marks the debut album for Redlands, CA born singer/songwriter Jade Bennett. Bennett's raw voice and powerful delivery deliver tracks packed with soul, vibe and desert ambiance that pull the listener into a trance they won't want to leave. On the powerful "Table For Two, Bennett delivers pure soul and croons of an unreciprocated romance that will not stand. This song is an anthem for the unrequited and it's brilliant. On "Why But The Cow?", Bennett gives sage like advice to a young girl and let's out some of the most beautiful primal screams you'll ever hear while Laura Chavez plays a genius snarky guitar that answers Bennett with epic sass.
The musicianship on this album is completely unmatched.
Delgado, Chavez and Matteo's guitar work is amazing and compliments Bennett's raw powerful vocals perfectly. The rhythm section of Lavell Jones on drums and James Breker on bass is solid as a rock and funky as old socks. The album was recorded at Broken Dreams Studio is Riverside, CA. DTL was produced by acclaimed guitarist and producer Gino Matteo and features appearances by East LA legend Joey Delgado and the brilliant Laura Chavez on guitars. Death Time Love is an album not to be missed. There is literally something for everyone here with styles ranging from dark soul, dirty funk and psychedelic blues. DTL has landed. Get ready, folks.
