This recording presents music that is the result of Ernie Krivda's odyssey through the changing times of the world of jazz. It presents a narrative of a musicians growth and evolution in the music that seemingly follows it's history on a parallel track, but intersects with it at a certain time and place that creates the dynamic from which flows this music. This is Krivda's 33 release as a leader in a 50 plus year career and speaks to his musical direction of a Jazz Band that was born out of the music's relationship to the Jazz Education industry yet retained it's musical independence and identity. It speaks to a shared vision of how the music might be taught, shared, learned and presented. Most of all it speaks to an uncommon chemistry of musical personalities that created this music 20 years ago in a Bright And Shining Moment!
