"Tone Science Module No. 2" continues the journey down the rabbit hole of possible sound worlds inhabited by artists and musicians working in the field of analog modular synthesis. This follow up to the critically acclaimed "Tone Science No. 1" picks up where the first recordings left off. Ian Boddy, founder of DiN Records, has curated this album to flow. And flow it does. The collection is made up of unique analog works by Todd Barton, R Beny, Bluetech, Parallel Worlds, Paul Nagle, Dave Besell (Node), Richard Quirk, Hainbach and Nathan Moody. Though fascinating and always cool to look at, it is important not to get lost in the "gear for gear's sake" syndrome. Having said that, this album features Eurorack, Serge, Buchla & Ciat-Lonbarde modular systems and the nine tracks show how varied and flexible these instruments can be.
